Catalytic TOF Calculator Form
Three columns on large screens, two on tablets, one on mobile.Formula Used
TOF = Moles of product formed ÷ (Moles of active sites × Reaction time)
TOF expresses how many catalytic cycles occur per active site in a selected time base. This calculator converts product units, time units, and site units before evaluating the final turnover frequency.
- Direct mode: uses measured product amount and measured active sites.
- Conversion mode: product moles = reactant moles × conversion × stoichiometric factor × selectivity.
- Mass mode: active site moles = catalyst mass × site density.
- TON: turnover number = moles of product ÷ moles of active sites.
How to Use This Calculator
- Select the input mode that matches your experiment.
- Enter reaction time and choose the correct time unit.
- Add product data, conversion data, or catalyst mass data.
- Enter active site quantity directly or through site density.
- Use molecular weight when product is entered in grams.
- Click Calculate TOF to display results above the form.
- Download a CSV or PDF summary for reporting.
