Inputs

Controls how interior area is calculated.

Used for embankment fill quantity.
Example: 3 means 3H:1V.
Reduces usable capacity.
Seepage, dead storage, and operational reserve.

Formula used

Interior area Rectangle: A = Li × Wi. Circle: A = π × (Di/2)². Custom: A = Ai.

Effective water depth heff = H − Fb. If negative, it is set to zero.

Containment capacity Raw: Vraw = A × heff. Adjusted: V = Vraw × (1 − s/100) × (1 − r/100), where s is settlement allowance and r is loss/reserve.

Dike fill quantity Base width: B = Wc + 2 × m × H. Section: Ad = (Wc + B)/2 × H. Fill: Vfill = Ad × L.
