Formula Used

The basic formula is simple. Final Date equals Start Date plus Months. This calculator uses three months by default. It also supports other month values.

Month-end dates need special care. January 31 plus one month may not have a matching day. Clamp mode moves it to the last valid day. Weekend mode can move the date forward or backward.

Days Between equals Final Date minus Start Date. The optional start day setting adds one counted day when inclusive counting is needed.

Three Month Date Planning Guide

Why Three Months Matters

A three month date is useful for planning. It supports contracts, reminders, renewals, bills, follow ups, and personal goals. Many schedules use monthly cycles. Three months gives enough time for preparation without feeling too far away.

Calendar Months Are Not Equal

Months have different lengths. Some have thirty days. Some have thirty one days. February has fewer days. Leap years also change February. Because of that, adding three months is not always equal to adding ninety days. A calendar month calculation respects the month name and day number.

Handling Month End Dates

Month end dates create special cases. For example, a start date may be the thirty first. The target month may not have that day. Clamp mode keeps the result inside the target month. Rollover mode lets extra days pass into the following month. Clamp mode is often better for due dates and reminders.

Business Date Adjustments

Some deadlines cannot fall on weekends. This tool lets you move the result to the next business day. You can also move it to the previous business day. Holiday dates may be entered too. This helps when an office or bank is closed.

Inclusive And Exact Day Counts

The calculator also shows days between dates. Standard counting excludes the start day. Inclusive counting includes it. Inclusive counting is common for stays, service windows, and event ranges. Exact day counts help compare the calendar result with a simple day based plan.

Exports For Records

The CSV option is useful for spreadsheets. The PDF option is useful for sharing and storage. Both exports include the start date, final date, weekday, timezone, and rule choices. This makes the result easier to review later.

Best Practice

Use the default three month setting for quick answers. Change the timezone when the deadline belongs to another region. Use business rules when the result affects work, payments, travel, or legal timing. Always review the weekday before saving a deadline.
