Formula Used
The basic formula is days till target = target date - start date. This gives the raw calendar day difference.
When advanced filters are active, the calculator checks each date in the selected range. It removes Saturdays and Sundays when weekend exclusion is enabled. It also removes custom holiday dates entered by the user.
The default countdown excludes the start date and includes November 29th. If the start date is June 21, 2026, the raw calendar result to November 29, 2026 is 161 days.

Plan Dates With Confidence
A date deadline looks simple, but small counting choices can change the answer. This calculator gives a clear count to November 29th from any selected start date. It is useful for event pages, school planning, shipping estimates, savings goals, content calendars, and personal reminders.
Flexible Year Selection
The tool is not limited to one static answer. You can choose a timezone, change the start date, and decide how the target year should be selected. The upcoming option finds the next November 29th automatically. The current year option keeps the date inside the selected year. The specific year option is helpful when you need a past or future comparison.
Workday Planning
Weekend and holiday controls make the calculator more practical. Many projects use working days instead of calendar days. By turning on weekend exclusion, Saturdays and Sundays are removed from the final count. You can also enter custom holidays, one date per line. These dates are skipped when they fall inside the counted range.
Clear Counting Rules
Inclusive settings are also important. A simple countdown usually excludes the start day and includes the target date. Some business rules count both dates. Others exclude both boundary dates. This form lets you choose the method instead of forcing one rule.
Detailed Results
The result area shows more than one number. You get total counted days, raw calendar days, full weeks, remaining days, skipped weekend days, skipped holidays, and the resolved target date. This helps users understand why the answer may differ from another website or spreadsheet.
Easy Exports
The example table gives sample scenarios for quick checking. The CSV button saves the calculated values in a spreadsheet friendly format. The PDF button creates a clean printable summary for records, clients, or team updates.
Accuracy Tips
For best accuracy, choose the correct timezone before calculating. Date changes happen at midnight, and midnight depends on location. This matters for international users and remote teams.
Practical Use
Use this calculator when a date must be explained clearly. It supports simple countdowns and advanced planning rules in one place. The formula stays visible, the steps are short, and the exported files help keep the result easy to share.
Because every option appears on one form, users can test several planning rules without leaving the page. This reduces errors and improves communication across projects, families, and teams in daily work.
