Formula Used

1. Weekly Outreach

Weekly Outreach = Daily Outreach × Working Days

This is calculated separately for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and communities, then added together.

2. Weighted Response Rate

Weighted Response Rate = Σ(Channel Outreach × Channel Response Rate) ÷ Total Initial Outreach

This reflects the blended response performance across all selected channels.

3. Expected Replies

Expected Replies = Σ(Channel Outreach × Channel Response Rate)

Each channel contributes replies based on its own response percentage.

4. Follow-Ups

Follow-Ups = Initial Outreach × Follow-Up Rate

This estimates how many additional touches you need after initial contact.

5. Expected Meetings

Expected Meetings = Expected Replies × Meeting Conversion Rate

This shows how many replies may turn into networking calls, interviews, or discovery conversations.

6. Expected Opportunities

Expected Opportunities = Expected Meetings × Opportunity Conversion Rate

This estimates referrals, interview leads, freelance leads, or job opportunities created from outreach.

7. Required Hours

Required Minutes = (Initial Outreach × Minutes Per Message) + (Follow-Ups × Minutes Per Follow-Up)

Required Hours = Required Minutes ÷ 60

8. Target Planning

Required Weekly Outreach For Target = Target Opportunities ÷ Funnel Rate

Funnel Rate = Weighted Response Rate × Meeting Conversion Rate × Opportunity Conversion Rate

This estimates how much outreach you need to hit your weekly opportunity goal.

FAQs

1. What does this calculator measure?

It estimates weekly outreach volume, expected replies, meetings, opportunities, follow-up load, required hours, and whether your plan fits your available time.

2. Why use a weighted response rate?

Different channels perform differently. A weighted response rate gives a more realistic blended result by considering both channel volume and channel quality.

3. What counts as an opportunity?

An opportunity can be a referral, interview, collaboration, freelance lead, mentorship call, or any career outcome you value from outreach.

4. Can I use this for job searching?

Yes. It is useful for job searches, informational interviews, personal branding outreach, networking campaigns, client prospecting, and internship outreach.

5. What is a good response rate?

That depends on your niche, personalization quality, profile strength, and audience targeting. Compare channels weekly and improve the ones producing better replies.

6. Why does capacity utilization matter?

If your plan needs more hours than you can give, your system becomes hard to maintain. Balanced plans usually perform better over time.

7. How often should I update the inputs?

Update them weekly or after every campaign. Fresh data makes your forecasts stronger and helps you spot improving or declining channels quickly.

8. Should I increase volume or improve conversion first?

Start by improving targeting and personalization. Higher quality often lifts responses faster than pure volume, and it keeps your outreach more sustainable.
