Formula Used

1) Module Completion Rate

Module Completion (%) = (Completed Modules ÷ Total Modules) × 100

2) Hours Completion Rate

Hours Completion (%) = (Hours Spent ÷ Planned Hours) × 100

3) Assessment Completion Rate

Assessment Completion (%) = (Completed Assessments ÷ Total Assessments) × 100

4) Schedule Progress

Schedule Progress (%) = (Elapsed Days ÷ Total Planned Days) × 100

5) Pace Ratio

Pace Ratio = Module Completion (%) ÷ Schedule Progress (%)

6) Training Effectiveness Index

TEI = 0.30×Module Completion + 0.20×Hours Completion + 0.15×Assessment Completion + 0.20×Average Score + 0.15×Attendance Rate

7) Readiness Score

Readiness = 0.35×Module Completion + 0.15×Assessment Completion + 0.20×Average Score + 0.15×Attendance + 0.15×Normalized Skill Growth

8) Forecast Finish Date

Modules per Day = Completed Modules ÷ Elapsed Days
Projected Days Remaining = Remaining Modules ÷ Modules per Day

How to Use This Calculator

Step 1

Enter the program name, the starting date, and the target completion date. These dates create the planned training window.

Step 2

Add total modules, completed modules, planned study hours, and hours already spent. These values measure effort and completion depth.

Step 3

Enter assessment totals, completed assessments, average score, attendance rate, and skill levels. These inputs strengthen progress quality analysis.

Step 4

Click Calculate Progress. The result appears above the form under the header, along with summary cards and a Plotly graph.

Step 5

Use the CSV and PDF buttons to export the current report for reviews, coaching sessions, performance files, or personal development planning.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What does the pace ratio tell me?

The pace ratio compares your module completion with schedule progress. A value above 1.00 means you are moving faster than planned. A value below 1.00 suggests you are behind the schedule baseline.

2) Why track hours and modules together?

Modules show visible completion, while hours show effort invested. Looking at both avoids misleading results, such as finishing few modules with excessive time or rushing through content without enough practice.

3) What is the readiness score used for?

The readiness score estimates how prepared the learner is for completion or advancement. It blends completion, assessment activity, performance quality, attendance, and skill development into one practical indicator.

4) Can I use this for team coaching plans?

Yes. You can run the calculator for each learner separately and compare outcomes during coaching or review meetings. Exported summaries make it easier to document progress consistently.

5) What if my hours completion exceeds 100%?

That means the learner spent more time than originally planned. This may reflect deeper practice, slower learning speed, or unrealistic planning. Review completion quality and remaining modules together before deciding next steps.

6) How is the forecast finish date estimated?

The forecast uses the current average module completion pace. It divides completed modules by elapsed days and projects the remaining time needed to finish the remaining modules at the same speed.

7) Does the calculator work before training starts?

Yes, but the pace and forecast results are limited before progress begins. Once the learner logs real activity, the tracker becomes much more useful for scheduling and coaching decisions.

8) Why include baseline and current skill levels?

Skill ratings show whether learning is translating into practical growth. Completion alone may look strong, but weak skill movement can reveal shallow understanding or limited transfer into actual performance.
