Model shell, land, services, taxes, and contingencies. Review totals, unit costs, breakdowns, and planning assumptions. Build smarter estimates using flexible fields and instant charts.
The calculator uses a responsive grid with three columns on large screens, two on medium screens, and one on mobile.
These examples show how different warehouse sizes and specifications affect total project cost and cost per square foot.
| Example | Footprint Area | Wall Area | Grand Total | Cost per Sq Ft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter Distribution Shed | 18,000.00 sq ft | 12,960.00 sq ft | $2,136,308.79 | $118.68 |
| Regional Logistics Hub | 30,800.00 sq ft | 21,600.00 sq ft | $4,373,360.55 | $141.99 |
| Large Fulfillment Center | 54,000.00 sq ft | 32,640.00 sq ft | $8,437,591.97 | $156.25 |
The total includes shell, foundation, roof, walls, MEP, sprinklers, office fit-out, mezzanine, site preparation, permits, overhead, contingency, taxes, and land.
Wall packages usually scale with perimeter and height. A taller warehouse needs more cladding, framing, insulation, and installation labor even when floor area stays unchanged.
Include land when you want the full project budget. Exclude it when comparing only construction alternatives across multiple building designs or vendor proposals.
Many early budgets use 5% to 15%. Higher uncertainty, poor site information, or volatile material markets usually justify a larger contingency allowance.
Yes. The calculator prices them separately because office fit-out and mezzanine construction often carry very different finishes, structural loads, and service requirements.
It helps compare projects quickly. A lower unit cost can indicate better scale efficiency, but design quality and site conditions still matter.
Usually yes. Greater height increases wall area, structural demand, lift equipment needs, and installation complexity, especially for high-bay storage facilities.
No. It is a planning tool. Final budgets should be confirmed with local contractors, engineers, suppliers, taxes, codes, and site-specific design details.
