Formula Used
EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization) can be computed in two equivalent ways:
- From operations: EBITDA = Revenue − COGS − Operating Expenses + Depreciation + Amortization.
- From net income: EBITDA = Net Income + Interest + Taxes + Depreciation + Amortization.
EBITDA Margin = (EBITDA ÷ Revenue) × 100%. This shows operating profitability independent of capital structure and non‑cash charges.
