Scenario ASF Weighted RSF Weighted NSFR (%)
Base case (preloaded)
Retail heavy funding 2,250 2,100 107.1

Formula Used

NSFR = Available Stable Funding (ASF) ÷ Required Stable Funding (RSF) × 100.

  • ASF is the sum of funding sources multiplied by their assigned ASF factors that reflect how stable each source is over a one-year horizon.
  • RSF is the sum of assets and off‑balance‑sheet exposures multiplied by their assigned RSF factors that reflect their expected liquidity needs over a one‑year horizon.

Default factors are illustrative and may differ by jurisdiction. Always align categories and factors with your applicable regulatory text and supervisory guidance.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Review the prefilled ASF and RSF categories. Edit names, amounts, and factors to reflect your institution’s balance sheet and rules.
  2. Add or remove rows to match your reporting taxonomy. Amounts accept decimals; factors are in percent.
  3. Watch totals, weighted sums, and the bar chart update in real time. Aim for NSFR ≥ 100% unless local rules specify otherwise.
  4. Export a breakdown via the CSV or PDF buttons to document assumptions for internal review or audit packs.
  5. Optional: run stress scenarios by shifting deposits, maturities, or asset mix to see impact on NSFR.

FAQs

Many regimes target at least 100 percent on a consolidated basis. Jurisdictional nuances apply so consult your local prudential standards and supervisor expectations.
ASF factors approximate stability of funding over one year while RSF factors approximate liquidity needs of assets and commitments. Higher ASF and lower RSF generally improve NSFR.
Yes. The calculator is flexible: edit names, amounts, and percentages or add rows. Mirror your internal regulatory reporting taxonomy for best alignment.
Include off‑balance‑sheet commitments under RSF with an applicable percentage reflecting potential drawdown over one year. The default example uses a modest factor to illustrate this.
No. It is an analytical aid. Source of truth remains official regulatory templates, instructions, and your internal control framework.
Export CSV or PDF for each scenario and retain alongside your assumption deck. Use consistent labels for easy comparisons across runs.
Any. Amounts are treated as generic units. If multi‑currency is relevant, convert to your reporting currency before input or maintain multiple runs.
