Formula Used

  • Base airflow: Airflow_base (L/min) = Volume (L) x Rate (L/min per L).
  • Static pressure: P_static (kPa) = 9.806 x (Depth + Elevation in meters).
  • Line loss estimate: P_line scales with hose length, diameter, and fittings.
  • Total pressure: P_total = P_static + P_diffuser + P_line.
  • Recommended targets: Multiply airflow and pressure by your safety factor.
  • Power estimate: W = (Q x DP) / eta, where Q is m^3/s and DP is Pa.
These calculations provide practical starting points. Always confirm with the pump performance curve at your target pressure.
