Formula used

  • Component Volume (L) = Total Volume (L) × Percent ÷ 100
  • Bricks Needed = ceil(Coir Volume (L) ÷ Yield per Brick (L))
  • Hydration Water (L) = Coir Volume (L) × Water per 1 L Coir (L)
  • Amendment Total (g) = Total Volume (L) × Rate (g/L)

How to use this calculator

  1. Select a preset that matches your plant and container type.
  2. Choose liters or gallons, then enter total volume or container details.
  3. Switch to brick mode if you hydrate compressed coir bricks.
  4. Adjust percentages so the total equals 100%.
  5. Optionally set lime and fertilizer rates per liter.
