Panels:
units = ceil(length ÷ panel_width)
2) Extra allowance
units_with_extra = ceil(units × (1 + extra% ÷ 100))

3) Posts (optional)
posts = ceil(length ÷ posts_every) + 1 + corner_posts
4) Cost estimate
materials = (units_with_extra × unit_cost) + (posts × post_cost)
total_initial = materials + labor_cost
annual_maintenance = user estimate
5) Time to reach target (living screens)
need_cm = max(0, (target_height − current_height) × 100)
months = need_cm ÷ growth_cm_per_month
