How it works

This tool compares baseline and current headache days. It normalizes both to 30‑day months, computes absolute and percentage reduction, estimates headache‑free days, and optionally applies a severity weight.

Results update instantly. Nothing is uploaded; data remains in your browser. You can export the monthly log as a CSV for records or care discussions.

  • Normalization: value × 30 ÷ month length
  • Absolute reduction: baseline − current
  • Percentage reduction: absolute ÷ baseline × 100%
  • Headache‑free days: month length − current
FAQs
1) What is a meaningful reduction?

Many clinicians consider a reduction of fifty percent or more from baseline to be a strong response, especially for preventive therapies. Use your own goals as advised by your clinician.

2) Why normalize months to 30 days?

Month lengths vary. Normalizing to 30 days allows fair comparisons between baseline and current periods and helps when graphing or averaging across multiple months.

3) Do I need to enter a severity weight?

No. It is optional. If you include a value above zero, the tool multiplies current headache days by weight divided by ten to estimate a weighted burden metric.

4) What counts as a headache‑free day?

By default, a day with no significant symptoms. You can adjust the free‑day threshold in hours to fit your tracking method.

5) Is my information stored or shared?

Your entries are saved locally in your browser for convenience. Nothing is transmitted. You can clear storage at any time using the Clear buttons.

6) Can I export or print my results?

Yes. Use Export CSV to download your monthly log for personal records or appointments. You can also print the page using your browser’s print option.
