FAQs

1. What counts as earned credits?

Earned credits usually include passed courses, approved transfer credits, waived credits, and recovered repeat credits that your institution officially recognizes toward graduation.

2. Do failed credits help me graduate?

No. Failed or not-passed credits usually increase attempted load but do not count toward earned graduation credits unless you later retake and pass them.

3. Why track current enrolled credits separately?

Current enrolled credits help estimate projected status after the term ends. They should not be treated as earned until the courses are completed successfully.

4. What if my core and elective rules overlap?

Some institutions allow overlapping requirements. If your totals seem inconsistent, verify how your registrar counts shared courses before relying on the estimate.

5. Can I use this for quarter or semester systems?

Yes. The calculator works with any credit system as long as all entered values use the same unit and your program rules match.

6. Why can projected eligibility still show no?

Projected eligibility stays negative when you still have credit shortages, unfinished core or elective requirements, or a GPA below the minimum threshold.

7. How accurate is the remaining term estimate?

It is a planning estimate only. Actual timing depends on course availability, prerequisite chains, registration limits, and successfully passing future classes.

8. Should I still confirm with my university?

Yes. Always confirm graduation clearance with your academic advisor, registrar, or degree audit office because institutional rules can differ from general planning calculations.
