Calculator inputs
Formula used
1RM = Lifted Weight × (1 + Reps ÷ 30)
Strength Ratio = Estimated 1RM ÷ Bodyweight
Adjusted Ratio = Strength Ratio × Age Adjustment Factor
The calculator compares your adjusted ratio with benchmark anchor ratios for the selected lift and sex. It then uses linear interpolation between anchor points to estimate your percentile.
Age adjustment factors:
Ages 13–19: 0.97, ages 20–39: 1.00, ages 40–49: 1.04, ages 50–59: 1.08, ages 60–69: 1.14, ages 70+: 1.22.

FAQs
1) What does the percentile mean?
Percentile shows how your adjusted lift compares with this calculator’s benchmark model. A 75th percentile score means you rank above about 75% of comparable results.
2) Is this result official?
No. This tool provides an estimated percentile for practical benchmarking. Real competition rankings can differ because of judging standards, federation rules, equipment, and weigh-in conditions.
3) Why does the calculator ask for reps?
Reps help estimate your one-rep max. That estimate lets different set styles compare on the same scale before the percentile is calculated.
4) Why is age included?
Age affects strength trends over time. The age factor gently adjusts the ratio so comparisons across different age groups stay more balanced.
5) Which lifts are included?
The calculator includes bench press, squat, deadlift, and overhead press. Choose the movement that matches the lift you want to benchmark.
6) Can I use pounds instead of kilograms?
Yes. Select pounds and the calculator converts values internally. It also returns results in the same unit you selected.
7) Which bodyweight should I enter?
Use your current bodyweight on lift day, or the nearest recent weigh-in. Consistent bodyweight data gives more reliable ratio comparisons.
8) Can this replace a coach or meet data?
No. It works best for quick estimation and planning. Technique quality, fatigue, equipment, and programming still need informed human judgment.
