For many people the luteal phase is relatively stable, commonly around 12–14 days, while total cycle length varies more. When cycle data is uncertain, the output should be treated as a planning range rather than an exact prediction.
Fertility is highest in the days leading up to ovulation because sperm can remain viable in cervical mucus for several days. A practical window is five days before ovulation through one day after.
