Formula used
Net trading minutes = (Closing time − Opening time) − Break minutes.
Overlap minutes = Intersection of market session segments and your work window.
Local conversion = Market timestamp converted into your selected timezone.
Status logic checks whether the reference time falls before open, inside a live segment, inside a break, or after close.

Frequently asked questions
1. Can I compare a market with my local timezone?
Yes. Pick a market timezone and your local timezone. The calculator converts opening, closing, and break times automatically for the selected date.
2. Does it support overnight trading sessions?
It handles overnight sessions by moving the closing time into the next calendar day when needed. This supports futures, regional after-hours windows, and custom schedules.
3. Does it include exchange holidays?
No. This version checks trading-day patterns, not exchange holiday calendars. For exact holiday handling, add your own holiday list or connect an exchange data source.
4. What does work-window overlap mean?
Work-window overlap shows how many market trading minutes fall inside your own working hours. It helps schedule research, trading, meetings, or reporting tasks efficiently.
5. Can I edit preset values?
Yes. Choose a market preset to fill common session values quickly. You can still edit times, breaks, and trading-day patterns for custom workflows.
6. What does the graph show?
The graph visualizes trading segments, optional breaks, and your work window on a single timeline. It makes overlaps and inactive periods easier to understand.
7. What do the export buttons save?
CSV export saves the calculated summary rows. PDF export creates a printable report with the same metrics, timestamps, and overlap information from your latest calculation.
8. Should I use presets or custom mode?
Both are useful. Presets speed up standard exchanges, while custom mode handles internal desks, brokers, crypto sessions, support windows, and regional operating hours.
