3. Net exact minutes:
Net Exact = Gross Exact - Exact Break
4. Net adjusted minutes:
Net Adjusted = (Rounded End - Rounded Start) - Adjusted Break
5. Quarter-hour units:
Quarter Units = Net Adjusted / 15
6. Decimal hours:
Decimal Hours = Minutes / 60
7. Estimated value:

3. Can it handle overnight shifts?
Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator treats the entry as an overnight shift. It adds one day to the ending clock time automatically.
4. What is the difference between nearest, up, and down?
Nearest chooses the closest 15-minute point. Up always moves forward to the next quarter hour. Down always moves backward to the previous quarter hour.
5. Why can the adjusted result differ from exact time?
Quarter-hour rounding changes start times, end times, or both. Break rounding can change totals too. The difference row shows how much adjusted net time increased or decreased.
6. What are quarter-hour units used for?
Quarter-hour units show how many 15-minute blocks are in the adjusted net time. They help with payroll approvals, client billing, schedule planning, and workload comparisons.
