Formula Used

1. Total Games
Total Games = Wins + Losses + Ties + Overtime Losses

2. Weighted Wins
Weighted Wins = Wins + 0.5 × Ties

3. Win Percentage
Win % = (Weighted Wins ÷ Total Games) × 100

4. Loss Percentage
Loss % = (Losses ÷ Total Games) × 100

5. Non-Loss Percentage
Non-Loss % = ((Wins + Ties + Overtime Losses) ÷ Total Games) × 100

6. Decision Win Percentage
Decision Win % = Wins ÷ (Wins + Losses) × 100

7. Points Earned
Points = (Wins × Points per Win) + (Ties × Points per Tie) + (OTL × Points per OTL)

8. Points Percentage
Points % = (Points Earned ÷ (Total Games × Points per Win)) × 100

9. Projected Weighted Wins
Projected Weighted Wins = (Weighted Wins ÷ Total Games) × Target Games

These formulas support leagues with ties, overtime losses, or custom points systems. That makes the calculator flexible across many sports formats.

FAQs

1. What does this calculator measure?

It measures total games, weighted wins, win percentage, loss percentage, points earned, home-away performance, streak status, and season pace projections from your record data.

2. Why are ties counted as half a win?

Many standings systems treat ties as partial success. Using half a win helps compare teams fairly when a league allows drawn games.

3. Can I use this for hockey or soccer?

Yes. You can use it for hockey, soccer, football, baseball variants, esports leagues, and school tournaments by adjusting ties, overtime losses, and point values.

4. What is decision win percentage?

Decision win percentage ignores ties and overtime-loss adjustments. It compares wins only against wins plus losses, which is helpful in pure outcome analysis.

5. Why include home and away splits?

Home and away splits reveal whether a team performs differently by venue. That helps coaches, analysts, and bettors spot useful performance patterns.

6. What are projected weighted wins?

Projected weighted wins estimate how many weighted wins a team may finish with if its current performance rate continues for the full target schedule.

7. Can I export the results?

Yes. The calculator includes CSV export for spreadsheets and PDF export for reports, sharing, or archiving season snapshots.

8. What happens if I leave home and away fields blank?

The main record calculations still work. Home and away percentages will simply remain zero unless valid split data is provided.
