Formula used
The generator builds each avatar from deterministic visual parameters. Seeded randomization converts the entered seed into repeatable numbers. Those numbers select face traits, colors, clothing, accessories, and backgrounds. The final image is rendered as scalable vector graphics. Uploaded photographs use an HTML canvas instead. Export settings then control image dimensions and output quality.
How to use this calculator
Choose an avatar style and customize the visible controls. Use Randomize when you want quick creative variations. Lock important traits before randomizing other settings. Enter a seed to reproduce the same random selections. Choose a preset size or enter custom dimensions. Select the preferred output format before downloading. Uploaded images can also be cropped and resized locally.
Use the initials style for simple account placeholders. Enter a name and adjust its generated initials. Background controls support solids, gradients, patterns, and transparency. Border settings change thickness, color, shape, and appearance. Social presets quickly set practical profile image dimensions. The batch generator creates several seeded choices together. Developer controls expose reusable SVG, HTML, CSS, and data.
Save useful versions into local history for comparison. Favorite important avatars so they remain easy to identify. Configuration JSON can preserve nearly every generator setting. Import that JSON later to restore the design. Shareable links can carry settings inside the browser URL. No server account is required for ordinary generation.
Uploaded files are processed inside the current browser session. This page does not intentionally save uploaded images server-side. Very large images may use considerable device memory. Keep custom dimensions within the listed safety limits. Transparent output works best with PNG, WebP, or SVG. JPEG cannot preserve transparency and receives a solid background.
Accessibility controls matter when avatars appear across many different digital services. Strong color contrast improves initials and smaller facial details on compact screens. Simple shapes also remain recognizable when profile images become very small.
SVG exports stay sharp because vector artwork scales without losing edge quality. Raster exports suit platforms requiring PNG JPG or WebP profile images. Quality controls balance visual clarity against larger downloadable file sizes.
Seed workflows help teams create consistent placeholders without storing personal photographs. Batch previews make comparison easier before multiple avatar files are downloaded. JSON configurations support repeatable design systems for testing and account prototypes.
Local history keeps useful variations available without creating a server-side user account.
