Formula used
Character count equals the total stylesheet characters. Line count equals newline separators plus one. Byte size uses the UTF-8 output size. Rule and declaration totals are estimated from parsed CSS block structure.
How to use this CSS Beautifier
- Paste CSS or upload a stylesheet.
- Choose formatting and cleanup preferences.
- Select a preset when faster setup helps.
- Click Beautify CSS to format the code.
- Review warnings and statistics before export.
- Copy or download the finished stylesheet.
Formatting approach
This tool scans CSS while respecting strings and comments. It separates selectors blocks declarations and nested at-rules. Formatting rules are then applied using your selected options. Structural validation also reports unbalanced braces and suspicious declarations.
