Well Completion Report Form
About Well Completion Reports
Why completion records matter
A well completion report records how a drilled well was prepared for production, injection, monitoring, or another final purpose. It connects drilling information with the equipment and operations used to place the well into service. A useful report identifies the well, operator, location, important dates, measured depth, true vertical depth, casing, tubing, cement, completion zones, perforations, pressure tests, and final status. Clear documentation helps engineers understand the installed configuration without searching across many separate field records.
What engineers should capture
Completion data should describe the actual installed condition, not only the planned design. Casing sizes, grades, setting depths, cement details, packers, safety valves, artificial lift equipment, wellhead components, and producing intervals should be stated accurately. Testing information adds operational context. Production rates, injection results, flowing pressure, shut-in pressure, bottom-hole pressure, temperature, water cut, and other measurements can show whether the completed well performed as expected. Stimulation records may also document acid treatments, fracture stages, fluid volumes, proppant, treatment pressures, and cleanup work.
Using the generated report
This generator organizes completion information into a consistent format for review and handover. It can also support internal audits, equipment tracking, cost control, compliance checks, and future workover planning. Users should verify every entry against field tickets, daily reports, service company records, logs, and approved engineering programs. Regulatory reporting requirements differ by jurisdiction, so the generated document should be reviewed before submission. Exported CSV data is useful for spreadsheets and databases. The PDF option creates a convenient distribution copy. Signed approvals, company document controls, and required attachments should be added when your organization needs them.
Example Completion Data
| Parameter | Example | Typical Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Production Casing | 7 in to 9,800 ft | Supports producing interval and isolation. |
| Tubing | 2⅞ in to 8,950 ft | Provides controlled production conduit. |
| Perforations | 9,120–9,260 ft | Connects reservoir with the wellbore. |
| Shut-in Pressure | 3,250 psi | Supports pressure and performance review. |
| Final Status | Producing | Records operational condition at closeout. |
