Formula used
Composite approach aligned with common ESG screening logic
- Hazard index = weighted average of hazard inputs × Scenario multiplier × Horizon multiplier.
- Exposure index = weighted average of normalized population, normalized assets, and criticality score.
- Sensitivity index = weighted average of poverty, elderly share, and health burden indicators.
- Adaptive capacity = weighted average of governance, early warning, health system, and finance access.
- Composite core = (Hazard/100) × (Exposure/100) × (Sensitivity/100).
- Vulnerability score = clamp( Core×120 − Capacity×0.45×100 , 0..100 ).
- Banding: Low <20, Moderate 20–39, High 40–59, Very High 60–79, Extreme ≥80.
Weights auto-normalize inside each group, so you can enter 10/20/30 or 1/2/3 without changing totals.
