Formula Used
Block Quantity
Gross area = (Wall length × Wall height) × Wall count
Openings area = (Windows × width × height) + (Doors × width × height) + Other openings area
Net area = Gross area − Openings area

Block face area = (Block length ÷ 1000) × (Block height ÷ 1000)
Blocks (base) = Net area ÷ Block face area
Blocks (incl. waste) = ceil(Blocks (base) × (1 + Waste%))
Pallets = ceil(Blocks (incl. waste) ÷ Blocks per pallet)
Labor
Crew daily area = Productivity (m²/day per mason) × Masons
Labor days = Net area ÷ Crew daily area
Rounded days = ceil(Labor days × 4) ÷ 4

Daily cost = (Masons × Mason rate/day) + (Helpers × Helper rate/day)
Labor cost = Rounded days × Daily cost
Overhead = Labor cost × Overhead%
Contingency = (Labor cost + Overhead) × Contingency%
Grand total = Labor cost + Overhead + Contingency
Tip: If your productivity is tracked in blocks/day, convert it using the block face area and your average cuts and joints.
