Formula Used

Gross area = wall length × wall height.

Net form area = gross area − opening deductions.

Form area = form width × form height.

Forms needed = ceiling((net form area ÷ form area) × (1 + waste percent ÷ 100)).

Rental form cost = forms needed × rental cost per form per day × rental days.

Purchase form cost = forms needed × purchase cost per form.

Tie cost = ceiling(net form area × ties per square foot) × tie unit cost.

Labor cost = (net form area ÷ productivity × complexity factor) × labor rate.

Concrete volume = net form area × wall thickness in feet ÷ 27.

Total cost = direct subtotal + contingency − discount + tax.
