Formula used

The calculator sums volumes of rectangular slabs, each computed as:

Volume (m³) = Length × Width × Thickness after converting all dimensions into meters.

For multiple segments: Total = Σ( Li × Wi × Ti ). Overage is applied as: Total × (1 + waste%/100).

Unit conversions used: 1 m = 100 cm = 1000 mm = 3.28084 ft = 39.3701 in. Also, 1 m³ = 35.3147 ft³ = 1.30795 yd³ = 1000 liters.

How to use

  1. Click Add segment to insert a slab row.
  2. Enter Length, Width, and Thickness, choosing appropriate units for each.
  3. Add more segments to represent separate slabs or areas.
  4. Set a waste percentage to cover loss and spillage.
  5. Press Calculate volume to see results.
  6. Use Export CSV or Export PDF for records.
  7. Try Load example data to see a sample workflow.

FAQs

Yes. Each dimension has its own unit selector. All values are converted to meters internally for accurate totals.

Common practice is 5–10% depending on site conditions, placement method, and crew experience. Adjust as required by your project or spec.

This tool assumes prismatic rectangular sections. For slopes, variable thickness, or beams, segment the area into rectangles approximating local thicknesses.

After totals, divide by the supplier’s truck capacity. For example, 1 truck at 7.5 m³ capacity delivers 7.5 m³ nominal.

Accuracy depends on field measurements and assumptions. This tool performs precise unit conversions and arithmetic; always validate with professional judgment.

This single-file version exports CSV and PDF. For persistent saving, integrate with your site’s storage or database.

No. It focuses on concrete volume. Reinforcement and mix constituents require separate calculators or project specifications.
