Formula Used

This calculator estimates restored asphalt tonnage from geometric volume and practical job factors.

1) Base volume
V = L × W × T × Layers
Metric: T(mm) → meters. Imperial: ft/in → meters internally.
2) Adjust for compaction and waste
Vₐ = V × Compaction × (1 + Waste%/100)
3) Mass and tonnage
Mass = Vₐ × Density
Metric tons: t = kg / 1000 • US tons: ton = lb / 2000
Tip: For utility restoration, order a little extra if haul distance is long.
