Formula Used

Floor area: length × width.

Wall area: perimeter × wall height − door area − window area.

Roof rafter length: square root of roof run squared plus roof rise squared.

Roof area: 2 × rafter length × roof length.

Sheet count: area ÷ sheet area × waste factor, rounded up.

Waste factor: 1 + waste percentage ÷ 100.

Estimated cost: material quantity × unit cost.
