Formula Used

The calculator estimates resting energy needs with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. It multiplies that result by your activity factor, then adds your chosen calorie surplus.

Male BMR = (10 × weight in kg) + (6.25 × height in cm) − (5 × age) + 5
Female BMR = (10 × weight in kg) + (6.25 × height in cm) − (5 × age) − 161
Maintenance calories = BMR × activity multiplier
Muscle-gain calorie target = maintenance calories × (1 + surplus rate)
Protein grams = weight in kg × protein target
