Total hours = hours + minutes ÷ 60 + seconds ÷ 3600
Net hours = total hours − excluded minutes ÷ 60
Effective speed = converted average speed + converted wind adjustment
Distance in miles = net hours × effective speed × distance factor ÷ 100
