FAQ
What’s the difference between ALB, ANB, and Attained Age?
ALB is the age on the last birthday (floor in years). ANB is the nearest birthday (round to nearest year). Attained is often interpreted the same as ALB at the effective date.
When do children age out?
It depends on plan and region. This tool lets you configure age‑out (e.g., 26) and grace windows such as “eligible until end of month turning 26.”
Do dependent students get extra eligibility?
Many plans extend eligibility by N years for students. Use studentExtension in the rules to model this behavior.
How are leap‑year birthdays handled?
Choose either a Feb‑28 or Mar‑01 anniversary on non‑leap years for people born on Feb‑29.
Is this legal or benefits advice?
No. This is an educational tool. Plan contracts and regional regulations control actual eligibility.
Can I bulk‑check my whole household?
Yes. Use the Multi/Bulk tab to add rows or upload a CSV, then export results.
