Why Salt Balance Matters
Salt does not sanitize by itself. The generator uses dissolved salt to make chlorine. The water still needs proper testing, circulation, and pH control. A small salt error can matter in large pools. That is why volume accuracy is important. Measure length, width, and depth carefully. Use average depth when the floor slopes.
Planning Salt Additions
The tool compares current salinity with your target level. It then finds the salt increase in parts per million. That increase is converted into pounds and kilograms. Handling High Salt Levels
When the current level is higher than the target, adding salt is not recommended. The calculator estimates dilution instead.
