- Required future attendance: the minimum sessions to attend from remaining.

FAQs
1) What is attendance percentage?
It is the share of sessions you effectively attended out of total sessions. This tool can also adjust attendance using excused sessions and late-arrival rules.
2) How do late arrivals affect the calculation?
Lates reduce your effective attendance using a rule like “3 lates equals 1 absence.” The calculator applies a fractional penalty: lates divided by the rule.
3) Should excused sessions be counted as present?
That depends on your institution. If your policy treats excused leave as attendance credit, select “Yes.” If excused leave is recorded but not credited, select “No.”
4) What does “shortfall” mean?
Shortfall shows how many percentage points you are below the required threshold. If it is 0, you already meet or exceed the threshold.
5) Can I calculate how many future sessions I must attend?
Yes. Enter remaining sessions and a target percentage. The calculator estimates the minimum number of upcoming sessions you must attend to reach that target.
6) Why is my effective attended value a decimal?
Decimal values happen when late arrivals apply a fractional penalty. For example, 1 late with a “4 lates equals 1 absence” rule reduces attendance by 0.25.
7) How do I export my results?
After calculation, use the Download CSV or Download PDF buttons. The file contains your latest result and the key inputs used to compute it.
