In electrical engineering, calculating voltage from current and impedance involves Ohm's law generalized for alternating current (AC) circuits using complex numbers. For a single-phase system, the fundamental equation is:
$$V = I \times Z$$
Where $V$ represents voltage, $I$ represents current, and $Z$ represents total complex impedance. When dealing with rectangular impedance components, impedance is evaluated as $Z = R + jX$, where $R$ is resistance and $X$ is net reactance. For three-phase systems, line-to-line voltage multipliers are applied depending on configuration topologies like Star (Wye) or Delta configurations.
