Eddy currents are loops of electrical current induced within conductors by a changing magnetic field in accordance with Faraday's law of induction. Where $f$ is frequency, $B$ is magnetic flux density, $d$ is conductor thickness, $V$ is volume, and $\sigma$ is temperature-corrected electrical conductivity. Skin depth ($\delta$) is determined via:

$$\delta = \sqrt{\frac{1}{\pi f \mu \sigma}}$$
