No. It estimates a planning target from your conditions. Certification still requires tested hardware, validated seals, and compliance evidence from the manufacturer.
3. Why does the tool add a safety margin?
Real installations often face dirt, pressure, cleaning intensity, and weather variations. A margin helps you avoid selecting an enclosure that is too close to minimum service conditions.
4. When should I choose IP67 or IP68?
Choose those levels when temporary or continuous immersion is possible. The difference depends on actual submersion depth, duration, and the manufacturer’s tested conditions.
5. Is IP69 always better than IP68?
Not automatically. IP69 is aimed at aggressive cleaning jets. IP68 is aimed at continuous immersion. Some products carry both, but the duty matters more than the larger number.
