1) Adjusted premium
The tool normalizes each provider quote by applying a consistent set of multipliers:

AdjustedAnnual = BaseAnnual × RiskFactor × VehicleFactor × PolicyFactor × (1 − DiscountPct)2) Scores and ranking
CostScore = 100 × (CheapestAdjustedAnnual ÷ ProviderAdjustedAnnual)
ServiceScore = Weighted ratings (customer, claims, digital) scaled to 0–100
ValueScore = (0.45 × CostScore) + (0.35 × ServiceScore) + (0.20 × CoverageScore)Ranking is by ValueScore, then lower AdjustedAnnual as tie-breaker.
Factor inputs included
- RiskFactor: age, years licensed, accidents, tickets, credit tier, location risk.
- VehicleFactor: vehicle type, value band, model year, safety rating, annual mileage.
- PolicyFactor: coverage tier, deductible level, selected add-ons.
- DiscountPct: bundling, safe driver, anti-theft, telematics, multi-car (capped).
