Formula Used
VA math combines ratings sequentially from highest to lowest using remaining efficiency. If the current combined rating is C and the next condition is p%, the new raw combined is:
new = C + (100 − C) × (p / 100)
The final result is rounded to the nearest 10. When the bilateral factor is enabled, conditions on paired areas (Arms, Legs, Ears, Eyes) are grouped: their subtotal gets an extra 10% before combining with other conditions (approximation of the official table method).
How to Use
- Enter each condition and its percentage. Optionally pick a paired area and side.
- Toggle the bilateral option if it applies to paired conditions.
- Click Calculate to view the steps, final raw value, and rounded rating.
- Export your inputs and results to CSV or PDF for your records.
- Use the chart to understand how each condition affects the total.
FAQs
Yes. The calculator sorts them from highest to lowest automatically before combining.
The raw combined value is computed to decimals. The final rating is rounded to the nearest 10.
If enabled, conditions within the same paired area and across left/right sides are subtotaled, then increased by 10%, then combined with the remaining conditions.
