Example Data Table

Scenario Room (L×W×H) Surfaces Coverage Panel Size Openings Waste
Potting shed workstation 4×3×2.6 m Walls + Ceiling 30% 0.6×0.6 m 1.5 m² 10%
Garden studio recording nook 5×4×2.7 m Walls 35% 1.2×0.6 m 2.0 m² 12%
Tool room echo control 3×2.5×2.4 m Ceiling 25% 0.6×0.6 m 0.5 m² 8%

These examples are illustrative; adjust coverage and waste to match your build quality and mounting method.

Formula Used

  • Wall area = 2×(L×H) + 2×(W×H)
  • Ceiling area = L×W
  • Total surface = selected surfaces sum
  • Net surface = Total surface − Openings area
  • Target covered area = Net surface × (Coverage% ÷ 100)
  • Target with waste = Target covered area × (1 + Waste% ÷ 100)
  • Panels needed = ceil(Target with waste ÷ Panel area)
