Example Data Table
| Surface (m²) | Tile (mm) | Pattern | Complexity | Obstacles | Waste % | Tiles to Order | Boxes (10/box) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20.000 | 300 × 300 | Straight | Simple | 0 | 10.0% | 245 | 25 |
| 20.000 | 300 × 300 | Diagonal | Medium | 2 | 19.0% | 266 | 27 |
| 35.000 | 600 × 600 | Herringbone | Complex | 5 | 32.5% | 131 | 14 |
Examples are illustrative. Real waste varies with cutting strategy.
Formula Used
- Surface area: A = L × W, or use your area override.
- Unit conversion: ft² × 0.092903 = m².
- Tile module: (tile length + grout) × (tile width + grout).
- Tiles without waste: N = ceil(A ÷ module area).
- Total waste %: pattern + shape + obstacles + extra allowance.
- Tiles to order: T = ceil(N × (1 + waste%)) + extra tiles.
- Boxes: B = ceil(T ÷ tiles per box).
