Custom course quiz 28 / 40 18 / 30 60 / 40 90, 80, 65, 50 3

Formula Used

The calculator first converts each section into a percentage. It then multiplies each section percentage by its normalized weight.

Section Percent = Earned Points ÷ Possible Points × 100

Weighted Percent = Σ Section Percent × Section Weight ÷ Total Weight

Adjusted Percent = Weighted Percent + Bonus Percent − Penalty Percent

The final adjusted percent is compared with your custom score bands. For example, if score 5 starts at 85%, an adjusted score of 86% receives a 5.

About the Albert.io Score Calculator

A Flexible Practice Score Estimator

The Albert.io Score Calculator helps students turn practice exam points into a clear score estimate. Many students use practice tools before a final exam. Raw points alone can feel confusing. A weighted calculator gives better context. It shows how each section affects the final result.

Why Section Weights Matter

Most advanced exams do not treat every section equally. A multiple choice section may have a different value than a written section. This tool lets you enter those weights directly. It then normalizes the weights. That means the total does not need to equal exactly one hundred. The calculator still finds the correct weighted share.

Custom Curves for Better Planning

Score curves can change by subject, teacher, year, and exam style. That is why this calculator includes editable score bands. You can set where a 5 begins. You can also change the bands for 4, 3, and 2. This makes the estimate useful for AP style exams, school tests, and review quizzes.

Study Insight Beyond One Number

The result does more than show a predicted score. It highlights the weakest section. It shows the gap to your target score. It also estimates the weekly improvement needed. These details help you plan review time. A small gap may need focused drills. A large gap may need a full content review.

Export Results for Review

The CSV download is helpful for spreadsheets. The PDF option is useful for sharing and printing. Save several attempts over time. Then compare your progress. This makes your study plan more measurable and easier to adjust.

FAQs

1. What does this calculator estimate?

It estimates a practice score from section points, weights, bonuses, penalties, and custom curve bands. It is useful for planning, review, and progress tracking.
