Example Data Table

Rating Bracket Base Points Estimated Weekly Points Eligible
1200 2v2 278 211 Yes
1500 3v3 344 302 Yes
1800 5v5 760.91 760 Yes
2000 3v3 1054.92 928 Yes

Formula Used

For ratings at or below 1500, the calculator uses this linear estimate:

Base Points = 0.22 × Rating + 14

For ratings above 1500, the calculator uses this curved estimate:

Base Points = 1511.26 ÷ (1 + 1639.28 × e-0.00412 × Rating)

The bracket result is then adjusted with a bracket multiplier.

Bracket Points = Base Points × Bracket Multiplier

The default multipliers are 0.76 for 2v2, 0.88 for 3v3, and 1.00 for 5v5.

Eligible Points = Rounded Bracket Points × Eligibility Factor

The eligibility factor is 1 when minimum games and participation are met. Otherwise, it is 0.

Weeks To Goal = Ceiling of Points Needed ÷ Eligible Weekly Points

Advanced Arena Point Planning Guide

Why Arena Planning Matters

A TBC arena week can feel simple, yet the final reward often surprises players. Rating, bracket, games played, and personal participation all change the usable total. This calculator brings those parts into one place. It helps a player estimate weekly points before reset. It also helps a team compare brackets before choosing where to push rating.

Ratings and Brackets

Arena rewards use a rating curve. Lower ratings rise in a steady line. Higher ratings use a curved formula that grows quickly, then slows near the top. The bracket multiplier then changes the final value. A five player team uses the full value. A three player team receives a smaller share. A two player team receives the smallest share. This reflects the classic bracket weighting used by many TBC planning sheets.

Eligibility Checks

Points are useful only when the character qualifies. The calculator checks weekly team games against the minimum required games. It also checks personal participation against the required share. If either rule fails, the displayed eligible points become zero. The base estimate still appears, so the user can see what was missed. This is helpful when one teammate needs more games before reset.

Advanced Planning Benefits

The extra fields make the tool useful for more than one quick estimate. You can change the required game count. You can adjust the participation rule. You can add a note for the team, the week, or the item goal. The summary shows base points, bracket adjusted points, eligibility status, missing games, and missing participation. These values make review easier after several calculations.

Exports and Records

CSV export is useful for spreadsheets. PDF export is useful for sharing a clean report. Both downloads use the same form values, so the saved file matches the visible calculation. The example table gives common ratings for comparison. It also shows how bracket choice affects rewards. Use this calculator as an estimate, not an official source. Server rules, season settings, or private realm settings can differ. Always confirm important purchases in game before spending points. Good records also support better roster decisions during busy seasons. A clear estimate still saves time. It reduces guesswork. It also helps groups plan efficient weekly sessions together.

FAQs

What does this arena point calculator estimate?

It estimates weekly TBC arena points from rating, bracket, games, and participation. It also checks eligibility and shows planning values for item goals.

Which bracket gives the highest point value?

The 5v5 bracket uses the full multiplier in this calculator. The 3v3 and 2v2 brackets use smaller default multipliers.

Why did my eligible points show zero?

Your games played or personal participation may be below the required setting. The result table shows missing games and missing participation.

Can I change the eligibility rules?

Yes. Change the minimum games and minimum participation fields. This helps when your realm or season uses different requirements.

Why is there a rounding option?

Different planning sheets may round values differently. Floor is the default because reward values are usually treated as whole points.

Does the calculator include a point cap?

Yes. Enter your cap in the point cap field. The result limits the projected total after the week to that value.

Can I use the downloads after editing values?

Yes. The CSV and PDF buttons use the current form values. Edit the fields first, then press the download button.

Are these official arena rewards?

No. This is an estimate based on common TBC formulas and bracket multipliers. Always confirm final rewards inside your game environment.
