Example Data Table

This table shows sample entries you can try in the calculator.

Birth Date Birth Time Location Latitude Longitude UTC Offset
1995-06-15 14:30 Lahore, Pakistan 31.5204 74.3587 5
1988-11-03 06:45 London, United Kingdom 51.5072 -0.1276 0
2001-02-20 21:10 New York, United States 40.7128 -74.0060 -5

Formula Used

Julian Day: The local birth time is converted to UTC. Then the Unix timestamp is converted with JD = timestamp / 86400 + 2440587.5.

Solar Longitude: The calculator estimates the Sun with mean longitude, mean anomaly, and equation of center corrections.

Moon Longitude: The Moon uses a compact lunar approximation with mean longitude, anomaly, elongation, and argument terms.

Planet Positions: Mercury through Pluto use estimated mean orbital motion with a simple solar correction. These are useful for learning, not precision ephemeris work.

Ascendant: Greenwich sidereal time is adjusted by birth longitude. Obliquity and latitude are then used to estimate the rising degree.

Houses: Equal House starts house one at the Ascendant. Whole Sign starts house one at the Ascendant sign boundary.

Aspects: Angular separation is compared with conjunction, sextile, square, trine, and opposition. A match appears when separation stays within the selected orb.

How to Use This Calculator

  1. Enter the birth date and exact local birth time.
  2. Add the manual UTC offset for that location and date.
  3. Enter latitude and longitude for the birth place.
  4. Select tropical or sidereal zodiac mode.
  5. Choose Equal House or Whole Sign houses.
  6. Set an aspect orb, such as 6 degrees.
  7. Press the calculate button.
  8. Review signs, houses, angles, and aspects.
  9. Use the CSV or PDF button to save your result.

Birth Chart Interpretation Guide

What a Birth Chart Shows

A birth chart is a symbolic map of the sky. It starts with the date, time, and place of birth. The calculator converts that moment into universal time. It then estimates zodiac positions for planets and angles. Each position is placed inside a sign and house. This creates a compact natal chart summary.

Why Time Matters

Birth time is very important. The Ascendant changes quickly during the day. House cusps also depend on time and location. A small time error can change the rising sign. It can also move planets into different houses. Use a birth certificate time when possible.

Reading the Main Factors

The Sun describes core identity and purpose. The Moon describes feelings and instinctive needs. The Ascendant shows presentation and first response. Mercury shows how the mind handles information. Venus points to attraction, values, and harmony. Mars shows motivation, action, and direct effort. Outer planets describe slower themes and generational tone.

Using Houses and Aspects

Houses connect planets with life areas. For example, house two relates to resources. House seven relates to partnership themes. Aspects show angular relationships between planets. A trine often feels smooth and supportive. A square can feel active, tense, or motivating. An opposition may highlight balance and awareness. Use these results as reflective notes. They are not fixed predictions.

Best Practice

Compare several factors before drawing a conclusion. One planet never explains the full chart. Patterns matter more than isolated placements. Review element balance for general tone. Check the closest aspects first. They often feel more noticeable. Save the report for study and journaling.

FAQs

1. What is a birth chart?

A birth chart is a symbolic sky map for one birth moment. It shows estimated planets, signs, houses, angles, and aspects.

2. Is exact birth time required?

Exact time gives better Ascendant and house results. Without it, planets may still be useful, but angles can be unreliable.

3. Which longitude format should I use?

Use positive longitude for east locations. Use negative longitude for west locations. Latitude north is positive, and south is negative.

4. What does UTC offset mean?

UTC offset converts local birth time into universal time. Pakistan is usually +5. New York is often -5 or -4.

5. What is the Ascendant?

The Ascendant is the zodiac degree rising on the eastern horizon. It describes style, appearance, approach, and first impressions.

6. What is an aspect orb?

An orb is the allowed difference from an exact aspect angle. Smaller orbs show tighter and usually stronger aspect links.

7. Are these positions exact?

No. This tool uses simplified formulas for educational use. Professional work should use a high precision astronomical ephemeris.

8. Can I export my chart?

Yes. After calculation, use the CSV button for spreadsheet data. Use the PDF button for a readable report.
