About the Axcel Sight Tape Calculator
A sight tape turns real arrow impacts into repeatable yardage marks. This calculator helps you build a clean tape after you shoot two reliable calibration groups. Enter a near distance, a far distance, and the matching marks from your movable sight. The tool then creates a distance table between your chosen limits.
The calculator is designed for archers who want more control than a printed tape chart. It lets you adjust interval spacing, decimal rounding, mark offset, scale multiplier, and a small curve correction. Those options are useful when your bow is tuned, but the factory tape still feels slightly high or low at middle ranges.
Good results start with careful data. Shoot from a stable stance. Use the same arrow type, point weight, release, and anchor. Record the sight mark only after the group is centered. If wind is strong, wait for calmer conditions. A poor calibration mark will move every calculated value on the tape.
The near mark defines the starting reference. The far mark defines the basic slope of sight travel. When the two marks are far apart, the calculator can estimate intermediate positions with better sensitivity. Many archers use twenty and sixty yards, but any safe measured distances can work.
The curvature field is optional. Leave it at zero for a straight interpolation. Add a small value when middle distances need a gentle adjustment. Positive values bend the tape one direction. Negative values bend it the other way. Change this number slowly and compare it with actual impacts.

The example table shows typical values only. Your own bow, peep height, arrow speed, vane drag, weather, and form will change the final tape.
Always confirm the finished tape on a safe range. Mark each verified distance with a pencil first. Then commit the tape after repeated groups match. This method keeps your setup practical, measured, and easy to update.
Recheck marks after string changes, new arrows, weather shifts, or rest movement. Small equipment changes can alter travel enough to matter later outdoors.
