Best E Liquid Calculator

Estimate every e liquid ingredient with clean ratio checks. Adjust nicotine, flavors, PG, and VG. Save detailed recipe records for future careful batches safely.

Calculator Inputs

PG means propylene glycol. VG means vegetable glycerin. Always keep carrier percentages paired to 100%.

Example Data Table

Batch Volume Target Nicotine Base Strength PG/VG Flavor Nicotine Base Needed
Starter Mix 30 ml 3 mg/ml 100 mg/ml 50/50 10% 0.90 ml
Smooth Cloud 60 ml 3 mg/ml 100 mg/ml 30/70 12% 1.80 ml
Low Strength 100 ml 1.5 mg/ml 72 mg/ml 40/60 8% 2.08 ml

Formula Used

The nicotine base amount is calculated with Nicotine ml = Batch volume × Target strength ÷ Base strength.

Flavor and additive amounts use Ingredient ml = Batch volume × Ingredient percentage ÷ 100.

Target PG and VG amounts use Target carrier ml = Batch volume × Carrier percentage ÷ 100. The calculator subtracts PG and VG already supplied by nicotine, flavor, and additive carriers.

Weight estimates use common density values. PG is estimated at 1.036 g/ml. VG is estimated at 1.260 g/ml. Flavor is estimated at 1.000 g/ml. These are planning values, so always confirm your supplier data.

  8. Download the CSV or PDF file for your records.

Advanced E Liquid Planning Guide

Why Accurate Mixing Matters

A good e liquid recipe depends on balance. Nicotine, flavor, PG, and VG all change the final blend. Small errors can affect strength, throat feel, sweetness, and vapor texture. This calculator helps reduce those errors by separating each ingredient before the final carrier amounts are added.

Understanding PG and VG

PG is thinner and carries flavor well. VG is thicker and creates a softer feel. A higher PG recipe may feel sharper. A higher VG recipe may feel smoother. The calculator checks both carriers after nicotine and flavor are included. That matters because many concentrates are already PG based.

Nicotine Base Control

Nicotine strength uses a direct dilution formula. The final nicotine target cannot be higher than the base strength. The page also checks carrier limits. If your flavor or nicotine base already adds too much PG or VG, the result will warn you before showing a recipe.

Flavor and Additive Planning

Flavor percentage is calculated from total batch volume. Additives are handled separately, so sweetener or cooling agents can be tracked with better control. Keep percentages sensible. More flavor is not always better. High flavor loads can make a mix harsh, muted, or unstable.

Cost and Batch Records

The calculator includes cost per milliliter for each ingredient. This helps compare small test batches with larger bottles. CSV and PDF downloads make it easier to keep records. Write the date, batch name, and supplier details on every bottle. Store ingredients safely and keep nicotine away from children and pets.

FAQs

1. What does this e liquid calculator do?

It estimates nicotine base, flavor, additive, PG, and VG amounts for a chosen bottle size and target blend.

2. Can I use zero nicotine?

Yes. Enter 0 as the target nicotine strength. The calculator will remove nicotine base from the recipe.

3. Why do PG and VG percentages need to equal 100?

The final carrier blend must represent the whole liquid base. A total other than 100 creates an invalid ratio.

4. Why is my PG result negative?

Your nicotine, flavor, or additive carriers already add more PG than your target allows. Reduce PG based ingredients.

5. Are gram values exact?

They are estimates using common densities. Check supplier specifications when precision is important.

6. What is drops per ml used for?

It gives an approximate drop count. Use syringes or scales for better accuracy.

7. Can I download the recipe?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet records or the PDF button for printable notes.

8. Is this calculator a safety guarantee?

No. It is a planning tool. Follow local laws, use protective gear, and label every mixture clearly.
