Understanding Confidence Levels

A confidence level shows how strongly a result may represent a wider group. It does not promise that one answer is always true. It describes the long run success of a method. When the same study is repeated many times, the stated share of intervals should cover the real value. A 95 percent level means about 95 out of 100 similar intervals may contain the true parameter.
