Formula Used

Temperature rise: ΔT = target temperature − starting temperature.

Energy: energy in joules = food weight × quantity multiplier × specific heat × ΔT.

Delivered power: delivered watts = oven watts × power level × efficiency.

Thermal time: seconds = energy ÷ delivered watts.

Adjusted time: thermal time × shape factor × cover factor × safety buffer.

Recipe conversion: new time = original time × original watts ÷ current effective watts × quantity adjustment.

The calculator uses the larger value when recipe conversion is supplied. This gives a cautious planning estimate.
