Why Volume Matters
Every concrete estimate begins with volume. Slabs, paths, footings, pads, holes, and small bases all have a measurable space to fill. Rectangular work uses length, width, and depth. Circular holes use diameter and depth. The calculator multiplies these values, then converts the answer into cubic feet, cubic yards, and cubic meters. This makes the result useful for bags, bulk orders, and site records.
Waste and Practical Allowance
Real projects rarely match perfect drawings. Ground may be uneven. Forms may bow slightly. Spillage can happen during mixing and placement. A waste percentage covers those normal losses. Many small jobs use five to ten percent. Rough ground may need more. The calculator applies waste before counting bags, so the final bag count is safer for field use.
Bags and Site Mix

Better Ordering Decisions
