Formula Used

The calculator adds every individual level cost from the next level through the target level.

For levels 2 to 12, it uses: cost = 0.0068 × level³ − 0.06 × level² + 17.1 × level + 639.

For levels 13 and above, it uses: cost = 0.02 × level³ + 3.06 × level² + 105.6 × level − 895.

The result is rounded for early levels and floored for later levels. Total cost is the sum of each step.

Planning a Dark Souls 3 Level Route

Why Planning Matters

A careful level route saves time and souls. Dark Souls 3 rewards planning because each new level costs more than the last. A small mistake can slow a build. This calculator helps you compare your present level, target level, stored souls, and farming pace. It also shows the gap you still need to cover.

Build Targets

Soul Level is more than a number. It reflects every attribute point placed into your character. Vigor, Attunement, Endurance, Vitality, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, and Luck all shape the final build. A PvP character often stops at a planned range. A PvE character may continue higher for comfort. Either way, a clear target prevents waste.

Soul Cost Method

The tool estimates the total souls needed from your current level to your target level. It adds each level cost one by one. This method is better than using only an average. Early levels are cheap. Later levels can rise sharply. The result also includes an optional reserve. Use the reserve field when you expect deaths, purchases, upgrades, or travel costs.

Farming Plan

Farming estimates make the plan practical. Enter the souls you earn per run. Add the time needed for each run. The calculator then gives required runs and total farming time. This is useful when comparing areas. A slower route with safer returns may beat a risky route.

Using Your Bank

Current souls and consumable souls are counted together. This gives your available bank. The calculator then subtracts that bank from the planned cost. If your bank already covers the target, the result shows a surplus. If it does not, it shows the remaining gap.

Exporting Results

Use the export options for build notes. The CSV file is useful for spreadsheets. The PDF button is better for quick sharing. You can keep a record of multiple characters, routes, or challenge runs.

Final Advice

Treat the numbers as planning help. Always confirm important upgrades in game before spending rare resources. The calculator is built for clear choices, not automatic build advice. Your weapon, play style, and personal goals still matter most.

Compare Routes

For best results, test several targets. Compare level 60, level 90, and level 125 builds. Check how many runs each route needs. Then choose the route that fits your patience, skill, and farming location before spending hard souls.

FAQs

What does this calculator estimate?

It estimates souls needed between your current level and target level. It also shows available souls, remaining souls, farming runs, time needed, and possible surplus.

Does it calculate weapon scaling?

No. It focuses on Soul Level planning. Weapon scaling depends on weapon type, infusion, upgrade level, and character attributes.

What is reserve percent?

Reserve percent adds a safety buffer. Use it when you expect soul loss, purchases, upgrades, or route mistakes before leveling.

Can I use consumable souls?

Yes. Enter the total value of consumable souls. The calculator adds it to your current soul bank.

Why enter souls per run?

Souls per run helps estimate farming effort. It shows how many runs you need after your available bank is counted.

What is reachable level now?

It is the highest level you can reach using your current and consumable souls, starting from your current level.

Why add planned attributes?

Planned attributes help compare your target level with your intended build spread. This is useful for rough character planning.

Can I export the result?

Yes. Use the CSV button for spreadsheet data. Use the PDF button after calculation for a clean summary.
