Formula Used
The calculator first builds the team score. In wins mode, ties count as half a win. In points mode, the score equals wins multiplied by win points, plus ties multiplied by tie points, plus losses multiplied by loss points.
Projected cutoff equals current cutoff score plus expected future cutoff gains. Survival target equals projected cutoff plus tiebreak margin and safety buffer. Needed wins equal the remaining score gap divided by the value of one win.
If maximum possible score is below the survival target, the team is mathematically eliminated. If expected final score reaches the target, the team is alive by projection.
